Andrew Schwartz was born in 1987 in New York City and grew up in Rochester, NY. He received a B.F.A. with concentrations in painting and sculpture from Cornell University in 2010 and an M.F.A. in painting from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2016. In the summer of 2005 he took part in RISD's Pre-College summer immersive program, concentrating in printmaking.  Schwartz has exhibited his work with Massey Klein Gallery (New York, NY); Morgan Lehman Gallery (New York, NY); Deanna Evans Projects (New York, NY); Rick Wester Fine Art (New York, NY); Geoffrey Young Gallery (Great Barrington, MA); and NARS Foundation (Brooklyn, NY); among others. His paintings have been discussed on Yale University Radio with Praxis Interview Magazine, and in PICNIC and Juxtapoz. Schwartz is the recipient of a NES Artist Residency in Skagaströnd, Iceland. The artist lives and works in New York City.
